The number isn't the message.
It's the knock.
If a number keeps finding you and you've never given your life to Jesus, this page is for you. It's short, and it asks nothing from you.
A man on this site spent more than ten years watching the same numbers come up on his stovetop clock. His life was fine at the time. He wasn't looking for anything. For most of those years he figured he was losing it, and he told almost nobody.
He was wrong about one thing. It wasn't his head. Somebody was knocking, and had been the whole time, and was patient enough to keep at it until he could hear it.
"See, I am waiting at the door and giving the sign; if my voice comes to any man's ears and he makes the door open, I will come in to him, and will take food with him and he with me."
Revelation 3:20 · Bible in Basic EnglishNotice what that says and what it doesn't. He waits. He knocks. He doesn't kick it in. The handle is on your side, and it always has been.
How to open it
Three things. That's all there is to it, and none of them require you to clean yourself up first.
Admit you need Him. Not the polite version. Everybody has done things they'd rather nobody knew about, and nobody has ever fixed that with effort.
"For all have done wrong and are far from the glory of God." Romans 3:23
Believe He came for you. That Jesus is who He said He was, that He died in your place, and that God raised Him from the dead.
"If you say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and have faith in your heart that God has made him come back from the dead, you will have salvation." Romans 10:9
Choose Him out loud. Tell Him. Right where you're sitting. No church needed, no pastor needed, no special words needed.
"Whatever the Father gives to me will come to me; and I will not send away anyone who comes to me." John 6:37
If you want words to use
There's no magic in a script. God hears you either way. But if you've never done this and you don't know how to start, you can say this and mean it:
Jesus, I've been carrying this on my own and it hasn't worked. I've done wrong and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.
I believe You are who You said You are. I believe You died for me and that God raised You up.
I'm opening the door. Come in. I'm Yours from here.
If you said that and meant it, something just changed, and it doesn't depend on how you felt while you said it. Feelings come and go. This one holds.

Tell one person. Out loud, to a real human. It makes it real in a way that thinking about it doesn't.
Start reading. Begin with the book of John. Not Genesis, not front to back. John. A chapter at a time, and it's fine if some of it doesn't land yet.
Talk to Him like He's in the room, because He is. That's all prayer is. You don't need the old-timey words.
Find some people. A church, a small group, somebody's kitchen table. This isn't built to be carried alone, and you'll figure that out fast.
And if you're not there yet, that's alright. Nobody here is going to chase you. The knocking waited ten years for the man who built this site. It can wait for you.
